Greater Toronto ONT Canada

40-hour Basic-Intermediate-Advanced Skills Program
September 22nd - 26th

Cost

The Extrication.Com 40-hour Basic-Advanced Skill program exceeds NFPA FF-I/II standards for vehicle extrication.

Unlike any other 40-hour Basic-Advanced Skills program we offer, the Greater Toronto location has an unlimited resource for passenger vehicles, heavy trucks and buses for use in the practical evolutions.

During the bus extrication training we will have a heavy wrecker (rotator) on site to demonstrate how heavy wreckers can be utilized during heavy rescue operations.

The Extrication.Com 40-Hour program is broken down into 4-modules (1-basic skills, 1-intmediate skills and 2-advanced extrication skills):
  1. 16-hours "Basic Skills" (basic skills)
  2. 8-hours "New Vehicle Technology" (intermediate skills level)
  3. 8-hours "Heavy Truck" (advanced skills level)
  4. 8-hours Bus Extrication (advanced skills level).

Should a student be unable to complete the program they may do so at another time in any open enrollment program for the modules missed. In the past we have had students request individual certificates for each module instead of a 40-hour program certificate. There will be a per certificate fee for this service.

USA Emergency Medical Technicians: All our programs have been approved by the MA OEMS for EMT/P CEUs at the basic, intermediate and paramedic skills levels for the total hours of the program. This has become our most popular program since first introduced several years ago. Copies of our approval number and verification of a department/agency attendees is available at no extra charge when done as by email. EMT/P that complete the program are entered into the MA OEMS website and may go online for their CEUs using their EMT number.

Requisites: There are no requisites for attending the 40-hour program. The 40-hour program is targeted for the entry level responder/candidate and for those more experienced looking to have a review of the basic skills and move on to the more advanced extrication skills.

NFPA Standards: Our basic skills training objectives meets or exceeds NFPA extrication recommendations for Fire Fighter II. The new vehicle technology starts where the basic skills leaves off explaining advanced SRS, ROPS/RPS, crash physics and teaches the latest extrication techniques not available in basic skills programs.

The two advanced modules will help bring all the cognitive and enabling learning objectives of the previous programs together. Students will learn out to properly stabilize medium/heavy trucks and buses in scenarios where the prop vehicles require the students to think out of the box. If you like lots of hands-on training and don't mind being tired at the end of the day this program is for you!

Who attends Our 40-Hour Programs: No matter how experienced you are, we feel that you will learn new information and techniques and walk away at the end of the week glad you were part of the experience. Departments often send their trainers to us to bring back new information and techniques to their department. We have had responders worldwide attend the Toronto program; Alaska, Mexico, England, Bahamas as well all parts of Canada and the United States. Beside the civilian responders we also teach military personnel and other members of the Department of Defense/Homeland Security.
